Rapper Desiigner Will Be On 2 Years' Probation After Being Caught M@sturb@t!ng On A Plane
Rapper Desiigner has decided to put an incident he was involved in on a flight behind him, agreeing to a plea deal that could help him avoid time in prison.
It's worth remembering that the "Panda" rapper was detained after returning from a flight from Japan, where, according to prosecutors, he told flight attendants that he was "extremely uncomfortable." Reportedly, he dropped a bottle of lubricating Vaseline in the aisle and eventually had to be monitored throughout the flight.
Following the incident, Desiigner apologized and stated that he attended court-assigned counseling/therapy sessions. He also claimed to have voluntarily submitted to drug tests, which he said came back negative.
Documents obtained by TMZ show Desiigner will plead guilty on September 8. He agreed to the recommended sentence of 2 years probation, 120 hours of community service, a $5,000 fine and a public apology to the flight attendants.
The rapper's lawyer is asking the judge not to impose travel restrictions that could harm his career as a professional musician, insisting he has tours planned around the world in 2023-24.
His management team has also stated that he has dedicated his "heart and soul" to his future music as part of his personal growth.
