Warren G Reveals He Saved Snoop Dogg From Getting Caught The Night Tupac Was Shot

Warren G Reveals He Might Have Prevented Snoop Dogg from Being Caught in Tupac's Tragic Sh00ting

In a recent episode of Drink Champs, Warren G, aged 52, recollected a pivotal moment from the past, one that might have altered the course of history for rap legend Snoop Dogg. The incident involved the drive-by shooting that claimed the life of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur.

During the show, Warren G shared the sequence of events that led him to believe he might have played a role in potentially saving Snoop Dogg from harm. Originally, Snoop had intended to travel from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to attend the highly anticipated Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon f!ght on September 7, 1996. However, Warren G managed to convince his childhood friend and former groupmate to spend the evening with him instead.

"At that time, I was living the single life in my own house," Warren G recounted to the show's hosts. "I thought, 'Why not invite Snoop over? I'm here watching the f!ght, and I can throw a great barbecue party with friends.'" Initially hesitant, Snoop declined the invitation, but later surprised Warren G by arriving at his house to enjoy the f!ght together.

Warren G detailed, "He had initially told me, 'Nah, I'm heading to Vegas with 2Pac and the crew for the f!ght.' I jokingly said, 'Man, you never hang out with me!' As time went on and I was preparing everything at home, I heard a horn honk outside. When I looked, Snoop was there, parked in a white Rolls-Royce with a distinct peanut butter interior, top down."

The evening took an unexpected turn as Warren G and Snoop indulged in a lively gathering. "He surprised me by coming over, and we had a blast. We even took a spin in that Rolls-Royce. We were barbecuing, having a great time, and the f!ght was about to start. Instead of going to Vegas, he chose to spend the evening with me for the f!ght."

Tragically, the joyous atmosphere was soon shattered by heartbreaking news. Warren G revealed that he and Snoop received word of the drive-by shooting that left both Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight wounded. This incident, which occurred a few days after their hangout, eventually led to Tupac's passing on September 13, 1996.

In retrospect, Warren G's recollection highlights the fragile threads of fate that intertwine with life-altering moments. While it remains uncertain what might have happened if Snoop had gone to Las Vegas that night, his decision to spend time with Warren G instead might have unwittingly spared him from the tragic events that unfolded in the days to come.
