The Weeknd says he won't make any more appearances unless Daft Punk reunites

One last feature, “Another One of Me”, is coming soon

During a recent After Hours Til Dawn show, the Weeknd declared that he's pretty much ready to make guest appearances. Introducing an upcoming song called “Another One of Me”, the singer told a Warsaw crowd: “And I just want to say, this will be the last feature I do, in my career, so I want to present it to you guys tonight. Later, on social media, he wrote, "the final appeal... unless daft punk gets back together." The Weeknd has yet to indicate when "Another One of Me" will be released or who he made the song with.

The Weeknd worked with Daft Punk on Starboy's title track and "I Feel It Coming". He performed the songs with the French duo at the 2017 Grammy Awards. Years later, speaking about his work with electronic artists, the Weeknd crowed, "These guys are one of the reasons I make music." Daft Punk dramatically announced their split in February 2021.

The Weeknd has been a prolific guest artist throughout his career, making a name for himself in his early days with his guest appearance on Drake's Take Care song "Crew Love". He has also released hit collaborations with Future (“Low Life”), Lana Del Rey (“Lust for Life”), FKA twigs (“Tears in the Club”) and more. He recently appeared on two Utopia songs with Travis Scott (“K-Pop” and “Circus Maximus”) and worked with Mike Dean on 4:23.

In recent years, the Weeknd has made some bold proclamations. First, he pledged to boycott the Grammy Awards, and so far he's kept his promise (although he still wins a Grammy). He also said in an interview that he wants to retire his stage name, but has yet to set plans to drop the moniker.
