Nicki Minaj Reveals She Regrets Going Against Kanye West's Idea: 'It Was A Stupid Decision'

Nicki Minaj Says Kanye West Wanted To Feature The Song "Right Thru Me".

Rapper Nicki Minaj says she was once against Kanye West's idea to appear on "Right Thru Me" instead of "Blazin" and that it's one of the "silliest" decisions she's ever made. She reminisced about creating her iconic album, “Pink Friday,” during a recent TikTok live stream. The discussion comes ahead of the release of their long-awaited sequel album.

"I don't know if you've heard this story about 'Blazin', but I wanted Kanye West to be in 'Blazin' and he wanted to be in 'Right Thru Me,'" Nicki Minaj explained. She concluded: "It was the dumbest decision I've ever made." The rapper released “Right Thru Me” as the second single from “Pink Friday” and it performed much better than “Blazin”.

“Blazin'” is the 9th track on Nicki's debut album, “Pink Friday, featuring Kanye West. On the day that “Pink Friday” was released, Kanye also dropped his critically acclaimed fifth studio album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” on which Nicki is featured twice: on the opening track, “Dark Fantasy,” and of the classic "Monster".

Nicki Minaj plans to release "Pink Friday 2" on November 17 of this year, which will serve as her first studio album since 2018's "Queen". She announced a June release date, while also confirming that she plans to tour in support of the album the following year.

“I love you so much,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am so grateful for the years of support and love you have given me. Sometimes maybe I didn't even deserve everything you guys showered on me. However, you are going to love this album. I will give tour details closer to that time, but obviously the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024.”
