Quavo addressed the Migos split, Offset's recent comments, and his album release date in the 'Rocket Power' trailer

The ex-Migos member announced that his first LP since Takeoff's death will arrive next month, QUAVO is aiming to "turn tragedy into triumph" with a new album, Rocket Power, set to arrive on August 4th.

There likely won't be any new Migos music for the foreseeable future, but that doesn't mean you won't hear from the two remaining members, Quavo and Offset. Both rappers have been working on their respective solo albums for a while, and now, it looks like Quavo, Rocket Power is coming soon.

After releasing the single "Turn Yo Clic Up" with Future last week, today Quavo shared a trailer for the album on his Instagram. Fittingly, it features Quavo facing off against a rocket in the desert, holding Takeoff's Migos chain (the album's title is a tribute to Takeoff, whose solo debut was called The Last Rocket).

In the music that plays over the scene, Quavo mentions Offset's departure from the group ("my cousin jumped out of the car, I had to keep going") and recent comments about their family relationship ("now he's telling the whole world we're not blood"), which was central to the group's mythology. However, he measures the lyrics by remembering that "it's all love". The trailer ends with the title displayed onscreen, along with the impending release date: August 4, 2023. You can check out the trailer below.
