Foxx was in Atlanta making his Netflix comedy series, "Back in Action," with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close when he got sick. On set, an action double and a body double have filled in for the star to keep the production going.
Foxx was also supposed to host the FOX singing game show "Beat Shazam." But because he was in the hospital, the show didn't start shooting until today, with Nick Cannon as the new host. Foxx's daughter, who was the show's DJ, will also not be there because she needs to be with her father.
The 55-year-old star has gotten a lot of support from his peers. One of them, Taraji P. Henson, posted prayers and well wishes on social media. "We are praying for you and your family," Henson wrote. #GODIS" struck a chord with many people who felt the same way.
Jamie Foxx broke his quiet on Instagram to give an update on the situation and to thank everyone for their love and support. His message said, "Thanks for all the love!!! Feeling blessed."
Foxx is still getting better, and his friends and people in the entertainment business are all giving him good thoughts and hope for a quick return to health.
