Nicki Minaj is really breaking new records.
Nicki Minaj just can't stop winning. The Queen of Rap has one more record-breaking achievement to list among her endless accomplishments. This time, Nicki bested her Young Money colleague, Drake. According to Chart Data, she now holds the record for most #1 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart by a rapper. Minaj has a total of 14, surpassing Drizzy's previous record of 13.
She achieved this with her recent collaboration with Ice Spice, "Princess Diana". The track hit No. 1 on the chart, reminding people that Nicki's prowess remains unrivalled to this day. The song is a remix of a single from Spice's EP released earlier this month. It is currently #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, an achievement in and of itself.
This achievement also adds to her existing record as the female rapper with the most Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart. Nicki also recently scored her first solo number one on the Hot 100 chart with “Red Ruby Da Sneeze”. It should be noted that this is next to impossible for most artists at Minaj's stage in their careers. It just goes to show that she is the queen for a reason.
Even considering the fact that Nicki Minaj seems to be gearing up to follow “Queen,” she's not being selfish about her traits. In fact, the rapper has been on some big songs lately. Before participating in Ice Spice's “Princess Diana”, Nicki helped NBA Youngboy.
The rapper penned a verse on the prolific artist's single "WTF". Then, just a week after the release of “Princess Diana”, Kim Petras released her single, “Alone”, which also features Nicki. It looks like she's really living up to the lyrics of “No Frauds,” her 2017 single. “I would have helped you out of that hole you fell into,” Nicki Minaj sings on the track. “I am the generous Queen! Ask Mrs. Ellen”.
