The new remix of 'Princess Diana' by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice is doing much more success.
Last weekend, Ice Spice producer RiotUSA was accused of paying fans to listen to his “Princess Diana (Remix)” featuring Nicki Minaj. The long-awaited track was released earlier this month, and while it attracted a lot of attention on its own, social media users shared screenshots of the song's creator offering them money in exchange for streams.
Regardless of the validity of those claims, the numbers certainly speak for themselves on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart. SZA's "Kill Bill" from last year's "SOS" album is still at No. 1, and titles by Morgan Wallen and Miley Cyrus follow. Coming in at number four are Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, marking Spice's biggest song as a lead artist thus far in her short career.
She and PinkPantheress also made the top 10 earlier this year with their collaborative project “Boy’s a liar Pt.2”. As of the most recent update, it remains in the same position (having previously peaked at number 3 thanks to rising popularity on TikTok), coming in after The Weeknd, Ariana Grande's "Die For You (Remix)" and Drake with his most recent release, " Search & Rescue”.
On Monday April 24th , Ice Spice reflected on his latest achievement with a tweet. “So proud of 'Princess Diana' with Nicki, as if my dream collab really came true. I can die happy now.” Nicki also wrote something to Spice on social media, writing: “YOU!!!!! Two songs in the TOP 10 is crazy!!!!! Congratulations!!! Princesssssss @icespicee_ #PrincessDiana #HeavyOnIt”. Minaj also told the Barbz to "stay tuned" and sent lots of love to her undeniably loyal fan base.
