NBA YoungBoy would be the youngest rapper to reach the mark.
NBA Youngboy is about to achieve something pretty big for an artist his age. The 23-year-old Baton Rouge native is on track to become the youngest rapper to have 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His first single, "Untouchable," peaked at number 95 in 2017. 97 more on the charts, either as a lead artist or as a collaboration. The artist will be in good company. Some of the other rappers who have achieved this are Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.
NBA Youngboy aka Kentrell Gaulden has gained a massive following with his music. With singles like "Outside Today", "No Smoke" and "38 Baby", the rapper has made a name for himself in the rap game despite facing challenges. Youngboy is often joined by other iconic names in the industry. More recently, he invited Nicki Minaj to be featured on his single “WTF”. The song comes from her upcoming album, "Don't Try This At Home", which will be released on April 21st.
It might not seem like it, considering how many singles he releases, but NBA Youngboy has been under house arrest since 2021. The rapper is currently living a relatively quiet life in Utah, where he has an indoor recording studio.
Youngboy was arrested on federal gun charges several years ago and has been in legal trouble ever since. As such, the artist is doing whatever he can to gain his freedom. House arrest prevents him from making public appearances, but that doesn't mean he won't do anything to promote his new album.
In related news, NBA YoungBoy got his wife's name tattooed above his crotch. The couple has been together for over two years. However, the two quietly tied the knot in early January, though it's unclear if they had a ceremony. A copy of the marriage certificate surfaced online with their legal names – Kentrell Gaulden and Jazlyn Mychelle Hayes. Their family has grown in the last two years since they started dating. They welcomed their daughter Alice in 2021 and later revealed the birth of their son on September 28, 2022.
