Drake Drops New Single "Search & Rescue" and Teases New Album

Canadian rapper Drake has released his latest single "Search & Rescue," produced by BNYX, which debuted on SiriusXM's Sound 42. The track sees Drake reflecting on his search for love and the qualities he desires in a partner. The song also features a soundbite of Kim Kardashian from the season finale of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," in which she talks about divorcing Kanye West. The song's cover art features a Kim K look-alike.

Drake's new single arrives a week after he teased the controversial track, and it marks his first solo release of the year. The rapper has also hinted that he may drop another album in 2023, adding that making music is his priority.

"I’ve thought about a bunch of things in life, but at this moment in time none of those things are stopping making music for you, so I’ll be here for you for a little bit at least," he told fans during his Apollo show in January. "And I hope I can strike up more emotions for you, maybe this year. I might get bored and make another one, who knows!"

Drake has also announced that he will be hitting the road with rapper 21 Savage on their "It's All a Blur" tour this summer. The North American arena trek will kick off in New Orleans on June 16 and will run through September.

Drake's New Single: "Search & Rescue"

Drake's latest single "Search & Rescue" has arrived on streaming services, and the Toronto rapper's fans are already loving it. Produced by BNYX, the track showcases Drake's emotional side as he sings about wanting a patient partner who is interested in building wealth with him.

The single includes a soundbite from Kim Kardashian, in which she talks about divorcing Kanye West, and the cover art features a Kim K look-alike. While some fans have speculated that Drake is trolling Kanye with the sample, Drake's father Dennis Graham has dismissed these theories and clarified that it's just a song.

"Drake is not trolling anyone, it's just a song," Graham wrote in an Instagram comment. "Why try and create a Kanye and Drake beef again???????????????"

Drake's Plans for 2023

Drake has hinted that he may drop another album this year, following the release of "Certified Lover Boy" in 2021. The rapper has made it clear that making music is his top priority and that he will continue to release new material as long as he can.

During his show at the Apollo in January, Drake told fans that he might get bored and make another album, adding that he hopes to "strike up more emotions" for them. It remains to be seen what kind of sound Drake will explore on his new album, but fans can expect his trademark emotional lyrics and smooth flow.
