Quavo Announces New Solo Album "Rocket Power" In Honor Of Takeoff
Quavo has revealed the title of his upcoming second solo album, which will be called "Rocket Power." In a tweet, he paid tribute to his late nephew Takeoff, who had used the rocket mantra for his 2018 debut album "The Last Rocket." Quavo also mentioned that the album would feature all his emotions and there would be no interviews conducted.
The Migos rapper hasn't disclosed the release date of his new album yet. He dropped the first single "Honey Bun" last month and paid homage to Takeoff with two tracks, "Greatness" and "Without You," at the Grammys. Since Takeoff's death, Quavo has been using the hashtag #ForTake to represent his late nephew, who was shot dead outside a Houston bowling alley in November.
Quavo has kept a low profile following the tragedy, but he recently appeared at the premiere of the Peacock film "Praise This," in which he stars alongside Chloe Bailey. The upcoming album will be his first solo project since 2018's "Quavo Huncho," which he released with Takeoff's joint album "Only Built for Infinity Links" in October.
