Quavo confirms the end of Migos in new song in honor of Takeoff.

Rapper Quavo is still reeling from the loss of Takeoff, who was killed during a craps game in Houston. The Atlanta rapper on Wednesday (Feb. 22) elevated his late nephew to GOAT status with his new single "Greatness." “Countdown to Greatness,” Quavo captioned an Instagram post revealing on social media. Quavo confirmed that Migos will not be returning.

In the song, Quavo reflects on the loss of Takeoff and says he would give everything he currently owns if it brought him to return; “My chain, my watch, my wrist. My fucking home, my rise. I would give all that shit just to see my dawg just one more time.”

Last year As we previously reported, Takeoff was gunned down outside the Houston Bowling Alley nearly four months ago. His life was honored with a special “In Memoriam” segment at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Quavo clashed with Offset backstage and barred him from being a part of the late Migos member's tribute.

The rapper sadly confirms the end of Migos. "So don't ask about the group, it's gone, we're gone / Young ni**a, can't come back, damn," he sings before declaring, "Never forget Migos are amazing." Despite the tension between Quavo and Offset, Quavo hasn't forgotten where he came from.

“I couldn't do it without the biggest group in the world,” he says as he holds up a Migos chain. "I can't do this without the greatest nephew in the world, Greatness." The video features recent footage of Quavo reminiscing about his success, mixed with old clips of our rapper and Takeoff.
