Lil Baby has the internet full of speculation that he's been following Quavo and Saweetie on two songs off his new album, It's Only Me. Lil Baby released his long-awaited new album on Friday (October 14). Internet sleuths have pointed to two songs that appear to find the "In a Minute" rapper referencing rumors about Quavo and Saweetie. According to fans, Lil Baby recounts the drama surrounding Saweetie allegedly cheating on Quavo.
On the tracks "Stand On It" and "Not Finished" - taken from his recently released album It's Only Me - Baby spits out a few lines that make fans assume he's involved in the messy situation between Quavo and Saweetie. Lil Baby sings the lines, "I don't want your b*tch, we can't trade (trade) / They ain't in the sh*t tell 'em to show up (leave)". For context, after Quavo and Saweetie split last year, there were rumors that the "Icy" rapper turned her interests to Lil Baby after the My Turn rapper took her on a $100,000 shopping spree.
Quavo responded to the speculation with the Instagram Story post: "Not traveling, we can trade you in!" Many fans pointed to Baby's line in the song as a shot at the former Migos member. These were some of the comments "'I don't want you, we can't trade' Lil Baby clearly responded to the 'we can trade' comment Quavo made about Saweetie ah sh*t," one Twitter user theorized. Still, others commented "Lil Baby insulted Quavo on Stand On It lol 'I don't want your b*tch we can't trade'" another person tweeted. “Sometimes it was thought that this excerpt was written for Offset and it was even commented that this would be the reason for the Rappers' separation.
But it is already clear that the indirect was not directed to the Offset, but to Lil Baby. There's still no confirmation from Lil Baby on who he's rapping about.
