Metro Boomin Has Released A New Trailer For Their Upcoming Album “heroes & Villains”
Metro Boomin noted that their fans have been waiting for a new project since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Though he reunited with 21 Savage for 2020's "Savage Mode II," the producer hinted at a follow-up to "Not All Heroes Wear Capes." The album finally has a release date and a title. Celebrating his 29th birthday, the artist has released a new cinematic trailer on YouTube that reveals that “Heroes & Villains” will arrive on November 4th.
The footage shows a touching sample, indicating that we may be hearing more Metro sample-based productions this time around. Sadly, he hasn't revealed a tracklist or feature list yet, but we're sure that will happen in the near future.
The announcement comes days after ATL Jacob publicized the release on Twitter, where he said it will be among the top releases of 2022. “It will ship this year,” he tweeted. The project will arrive nearly four years after their debut album, Not All Heroes Wear Capes, which featured guest appearances from Drake, Offset, Gucci Mane, 21 Savage, Kodak Black, WizKid, Travis Scott and more.
His next project may also bring a special tribute to his mother who died of femicide in June. "This doesn't even feel like real life anymore, it's like a nightmare that never ends and starts over every time I wake up," wrote Metro. "My mom was and still is my best friend in the universe and anyone who really knows me knows I've always been a mama's boy my whole life," the artist began."This must be like hell because my soul is always on fire and everything around me always seems to be on fire. Leslie Wayne's memorial service will be held shortly after her death." It took place on June 18th.
Metro Boomin spoke briefly about his mother's death in July on IG,
